We don't sell your data — we don't even see it.
Last updated: August 2026
In a nutshell
HomeSmartCalc runs calculator math entirely in your web browser. The inputs you type never get submitted to a server, stored in a database, or sent to a third-party API. The only data we have access to is:
- Standard web server logs (IP + User-Agent) for the duration of your page request — so we can ship static assets to you and troubleshoot outages.
- Any feedback you voluntarily email to us at homesmartcalc@outlook.com.
That's it.
Data we do not collect
- Your loan amount, home price, income, DTI, or any numbers in the calculators.
- Personal information such as name, address, SSN, or date of birth.
- Cross-site tracking identifiers.
- Device fingerprints.
How the "share link" feature works
When you click "copy link" on any calculator, we encode your inputs directly into the ?query portion of the URL. That means the URL itself contains the full calculation. Nothing is saved to our server. If you share the URL, the recipient can open it and reproduce the exact same inputs on their own device.
Cookies
This site does not use persistent first-party advertising cookies, nor does it set a unique identifier to track you across sessions.
Third-party ad networks, if enabled in the future, may set their own cookies via iframes. We will explicitly mark ad slots and document any partners on this page.
Embedded content
If you view a page that embeds a third-party video, tweet, or PDF viewer, those embedded services may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. We keep embedded content to a minimum and call it out where it appears.
Your privacy rights
- Right to know: ask us what (if any) personal data we hold about you.
- Right to deletion: ask us to delete that data.
- Right to port: receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to opt-out: because we don't sell personal data, there's nothing to opt out of — but you can always block scripts via your browser.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@homesmartcalc.com. We respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
Under California law, you have the right to know the categories of personal information a business collects, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the third parties with whom it's shared. As of our last review:
- Personal info collected: none, beyond standard web server logs retained for up to 30 days for reliability/security.
- Categories of sources: direct from your device via HTTPS request.
- Business purpose: delivering static assets and detecting abuse.
- Sold or shared: none. We do not sell personal information.
EU / EEA residents (GDPR)
To the extent we ever process personal data of EU residents (currently limited to server logs), our legal basis is legitimate interest — specifically, serving the content you requested and defending the service against abuse. If you'd like the log entry associated with a given request deleted, email us with the approximate UTC time and your IP and we'll do our best to scrub it before retention expiry.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please let us know and we will delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date above for any changes. Material changes are summarized at the top of this page for 30 days after posting.

Simple policy, simply enforced: we built this site to do the math, not to do the tracking.
